While we were in Joseph City, we played TONS AND TONS of Dominoes. The kids thought it was AWESOME. It was fun to see how much better they got the more we played. Gavin was the dominoe KING!!!
Stetson wanted to build the "Tower of Terror". So we built this massive lego tower. STetson LOVED to knock it over so we could build it again. It was his way of getting LOTS of mommy's attention!!!

Breaking Dawn

Me and my mom went to Breaking Dawn in Flagstaff the day it came out. We were in the theater for an hour and a half before the movie started. Needless to say, things got a little CRAZY!!!!

I REALLY really liked the movie. I didn't expect much because I thought the previous movies could have been better. But I would definitely say this was BY FAR the best Twilight movie!!!! I thought it was SUPER GOOD!

Three out of the Six times JC has flown home from working for 14 days....

his flights have been DELAYED ALL DAY!!!

Holy ANNOYING!

Today JC was suppose to be home by 2pm...and he will be lucky to be home by 6pm (he's currently on "stand-by").

Last time he flew home he was suppose to be home by noon and didnt get home til 8:45pm.

I'M DONE.

So when people ask me why? we are moving...

Nectarine Jam

Since nectarine's are $.77/lb at Safeway I decided to make some nectarine jam. Looks yummy. It was super simple and my FIRST time canning by myself.

add 6 cups of chopped nectarines.

3 cups of sugar

4 Tbsp of lemon juice

1 tsp of your choice of spice (i did cinnamon)

Medium boil for 30 minutes

skim off foamy stuff

put into pint jars

put into hot bather

hot bathe for 10 minutes

WAALAH...the finished product. I hope it tastes yummy! We will try some tomorrow :)

Disneyland Trip

We just got back from Disneyland. Had TONS of fun. We went with Justin & Jill + their 3 kids, my mom, Nephi, and our little family. Our older two kids were at the perfect age to really enjoy it and have a great time! We got 3 day hopper passes and went every other day. On the off days we just chilled at the hotel pool and ate yummy food and watched football (every girls favorite thing to do on vacation, right?)

We decided that we are going to do a Disneyland trip every TWO years. That way we don't over kill, but go enough to enjoy the rides and see the new ones!!! Can't wait for the Car's Land in CA Adventure to open! That should be cool.

The show at CA Adventure was awesome too. How amazing technology is!

School Year Theme

Since we now have TWO kids in school, I decided to spice things up and do a "school year theme". Because the kids school has few LDS kids we choose the theme...

JC turned 30 on June 26th. He was in Louisianna, therefore not much of a birthday from the family! We did go to eat with JC's dad, Matt and Mitzi before he left for his "birthday".

on July 2nd we celebrated our EiGHTH anniversary. JC was still in Louisianna but we made up for that when he got home ;)

I can't believe we have been married 8 years. We have been through MORE than I ever wanted to go through, but we made it. We are still in love.

Excited for the future. Happy about the past. Can't wait for eternity!

BIG...BIGGER...BIGGEST

Careers can take you to almost any location, especially in Helicopters.

There is a certain way you typically "move up" in the helicopter industry...

First you instruct, this is what JC has been doing for 3 years.

Then you find a company that will train you in a turbine helicopter (BIG heli's). This is difficult to find a company to hire a pilot with ZERO turbine time. These jobs are typically flooded with applicants.

Well, the time has come...we took the leap...

JC got a NEW job.

JC is now a captain for PHI. They are an excellent company and we have heard nothing but GREAT things about them. All the pilots say it's a DREAM job.

Now all jobs have their perks...

JC is flying in the Bell 206 L3 which looks like...

Pretty AWESOME if I might say! We are excited, thrilled, nervous, and ready to take this HUGE leap into the next chapter of our lives.

BUT, with every job also comes the downfalls...

JC now works in...

THATS RIGHT FOLKS... Louisianna....

He works a 14 on/14 off schedule. As for now we are going to stay in AZ and JC will fly back and forth. We will see how this goes. If we feel so inclined, we will move to Louisianna or Texas.

CRAZY but we feel so blessed. Can't wait to see how this all turns out!

Madisons 1st grade had a field trip to the zoo. I decided to take the boys and a friend (whose mom just had twin boys) with us. The boys were so busy that I didn't get to spend a single ounce of time with Madison and her class. But, the boys had a complete blast! Gavin begs me everyday to go to the Zoo :)

Helicopter Ride

Gavin LOVES LOVES LOVES riding in the helicopter with daddy. He was able to ride to the airshow in Glendale with JC this year. The ride was just about 1 hr and Gavin LOVED it :).

We had a FANTASTIC Christmas.

We put out eggnog and cookies for Santa and he treated us GOOD!!!

Madison got a pillow pet, books, candy, artist utensils, Beauty and the Beast, How to Train your Dragon, card games, puzzles, and pajamas.

I got a Chi straightener, blanket, wallet, shirt, taffy, necklace, food saver, magic bullet, orange, and earrings.

Stetson got Alice and Wonderland, books, talking teddy bear, electric train, toy helicopter and candy.

JC got the rockband holder/organizer, candy, spanish/english dictionary (lol), flashlight, mag light, "blood" light, and pajamas.

OH....and JC got a 55" LED HD 3D TV...Spoiled!!!!!

Gavin got Madagascar Kart for Wii, Skateboard, candy, Toy Story 3, shirt, silly bands, books, and puzzles.

We had a nice cozy Christmas with just our little family.

It was really nice and a great tradition that we intend to keep :)

Touch-A-Truck

I decided that it would be super fun for the kids to go to the Touch-A-Truck at Tim's Toyota Center. The kids seemed excited to go and check out all the cool trucks...

When we get there, there was a Pepsi truck that was letting the kids get in and honk the horn. the honk was VERY load, but the kids were having fun...so "who cares." Well Gavin really really CARED! He was throwing the biggest fit you have ever seen coming from a four-year old. He HATED the honking and would yell "STOP" everytime a kid honked the horn. After 10 minutes of being at the event, I had ENOUGH!!!!!!! LOL....so we went home.

So, how was the Touch-A-Truck....? BAD IDEA!

Needless to say, Gavin got grounded from the Wii for an entire WEEK. And if you know Gavin, this is a HUGE deal!

Lessons Learned:

Kindergarten GRADUATE

Madison graduated from KINDERGARTEN on May 27th from Coyote Springs Elementary. I can hardly believe it! She is such a big girl. She can read, write, and draw like a CHAMP! She is such a smarty. We love love love her. She had the best teacher in the world (Mrs. Richey) and absolutely loved going to school. I literally did not have one complaint about her experience, school and teacher!

Stetson's FIRST birthday

REFEREE

JC referee's basketball. It is one of his many hobbies that he LOVES!!! He recently got INVITED to ref at the Desert Duel in Gilbert. This tournament included teams from North Carolina, Georgia, DC, Texas, Chicago, etc. It is considered one of the top tournaments in the nation. It is suppose to have the top 100 basketball players in the nation attending. There were 233 college coaches there to scout out the players. So this is a BIG deal!!!! He did great and even had some professional referees tell him he has serious potential.

JC is so AWESOME. I just can't get over how lucky I am to have him for a husband :)

Stetson's Stats

Today Stetson had a Dr. appt. He weighed 9.11 (50%) and was 21 9/16 (82%). He is definitely following Click tradition. My other kids are 25% weight and 75% height. Tall and skinny is the gene pool (thanks to JC!!!).

Stetson is HERE! YEAH. He was born on 5/28. He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and 20.5 inches.

My actual delivery was GREAT. I got an epidural and it WORKED!!! Yeah for epidurals.

1st of all, my Dr. was a moron and I refuse to go back to her ever again! Once I got a new Dr. everything was GREAT! Heres the story....

I went in at 1:30pm to get induced. They started me on pitocin. As soon as we got there I told the nurse that I will not dialate until my water is broken and then I will go FAST. So the nurse passed the info to the dr. By midnight I was dialated to a 5 and the Dr. refused to break my water. I was at the fullest amount of pitocin they could give me so they took me OFF pitocin so I wouldn't have the baby until the morning. RIDICULOUS!!! Luckily the Dr. got off at 7 am (after 18 hrs of labor) and the new Dr. was all about breaking my water. So at 9 am I was still dialated to a 5 and the Dr. broke my water. By 9:20 I was fully dialated! Stetson was born at 9:58 am. I am glad the new Dr. actually listened. He was FANTASTIC and I was really happy with the epidural and the delivery.

Stetson is a good baby. I forgot how much they eat at first. I feel like all I do is feed the poor kid! I am recovering well and LOVE having a newborn!!!

FINAL Dr. Appt

I went to my last Dr. appt yesterday. I am dialated to a 3 but I am having virtually NO contractions. Soooo....they scheduled my induction date. It is Wed the 27th at 1:00. Not what I wanted, but that is was I get, so I will take it and run. I will be 4 days overdue!

I want I go into labor on my own, but I'm NOT going to get my hopes up. I am just going to plan on Wednesday, that way my heart doesn't get CRUSHED!!!! Oh the joys of being pregnant :)

Birthday Girl is FIVE

Madison had a FANTASTIC birthday yesterday. She turned FIVE years old. I can hardly believe it. She is growing up soooo fast! She got to go to preschool and they had a little party (thanks Mindy). Then we went to Freedom Station and invited several friends. They had a complete blast. She got so many new toys (thanks Garret, Jolie, Brooklyn, Bryant, Lucus, Taylor, and Nana).
Madison is such a great girl. She loves her family, preschool, friends, Nana and Papa, cousins, playing outside, tball, swimming, etc. She is a GREAT girl. We love her so much and we are so happy that Heavenly Father sent her to our family!

Madison is on a T-ball team. They are the Red Sox. She has a fantastic coach and absolutely loves it. She has games twice and week and can hardly wait for the next game. We enjoy going to watch Madison play. It's fun to see the kids growing up, getting friends, playing sports, etc...

Gavin can't hardly stand that Madison gets to play tball and he doesn't. He informs us that he is 4 years old and Madison is 3, so he gets to play tball and Madison can just watch!!! LOL. He is quite the little character, but it will be his turn soon enough!

For Easter, I got JC and the family Diamondbacks tickets. They played the Washington Nationals. I have never been to Chase Field. It was much more fun than I even expected. GREAT atmosphere, relaxing, and quality family time!!! We will definitely go AGAIN ;)

Disneyland

Why Women and NOT Men???

So I am 12 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child. I hesitated to tell anyone because of my 10 week miscarriage last time. But, I am pretty confident that this pregnancy is going to "stick". And, I can't decide if I want a boy or a girl. Honestly, don't really care!

Anyways, I have not been to the Dr. yet because I absolutely HATE being violated. I hate that women have to go to the Dr. and it's a complete disaster. I hate being pregnant because it's complete violation until the baby is born! So therefore, I just procrastinate going to the Dr. until the absolute last second. I am thinking that 12 weeks is probably the furthest my procrastination can continue!

You know, where do the men come into this whole picture. They get to do the "fun" part and then leave the rest up to the women..LOL. I just wish they could get a little taste of this whole process....

Vaginal Exams, Bleeding, possible Strep B, IV's, Glucose testing, Blood tests, 10 cm dialation (which is NOT easy), stitches, healing...etc

And all the while they just get to have 'fun' and hope that the hole goes back to it's original 'tightness' for future references! LOL ;). I just can't help but wonder WHY?????

So, lately we have been crazy busy. We have been out of town most every weekend.

Last weekend we went down to the Valley to watch my dad's football team in the state playoffs. They beat Joseph City and will play next weekend for the State Championship against Mogollon. WE are very excited!

Wednesday Valerie (my sister) has her baby via C-section. So I am going down to Gilbert Thursday to help my mom with the kiddos. I am excited for her to have her baby. She is going to name her Mya Jade! CUTE.

Madison has been in a preschool and is learning all of her phonograms. I cannot believe how SMART she is. She loves Mindy (her preschool teacher)!!!!

Gavin is bored without Madison but is busy watching Blues Clues and Shrek every second his mommy lets him!

JC is ridiculously busy working and going to school. He loves flight instructing. He is also refing basketball. So, basically I am a widow!!!

Vacuum...DEAD OR ALIVE?

The other day I was vacuuming my living room and the vacuum started smoking. I immediately turned off the vacuum and text JC that I am absolutely getting a new Dyson vacuum. I have been wanting one forever and I'm sick of cruddy vacuums.

I was thinking "DYSON HERE I COME." Of course I wasn't about to tell JC how much a Dyson vacuum actually cost. I figured he would just allow me to get a new vacuum because he didn't have time to even worry about the dadgum vacuum.

Much to my surprise (more like dismay), JC decided to check out the vacuum today and see what was going on. He changed out the belt....still hardly any suction. Then he decided to take off the hoses....lo and behold, our PROBLEM. He filled an entire shoe box of vacuum lint out of the hoses. DISGUSTING. I was thoroughly embarassed. I would call myself a "clean freak" but now I realized I have been skipping some essentials...like CLEANING OUT THE VACUUM HOSES. Turns out my current vacuum isn't so bad after all.

My Eureka vacuum will just have to do....until next time.

Nephi's coming HOME

Nephi (my brother) is coming home TOMORROW. I am so excited. He is one of the best people I have ever known. He was a stellar athlete but never let himself get big headed. He has always CTR'd. He is valiant in doing the Lords work. He is one of my best friends. He is a great example to everyone around him. He has definitely lived up to his BIG name! I just want everyone to know how PROUD I am of him and his willingness to serve the Lord. He is a GREAT person!!! I love my brother :) Can't wait to see him!

Madisons FIRST soccer game

Madison had her FIRST soccer game on Saturday. Her team is called the sharks! It was really fun and Madison LOVED it. She did really good too. She has a timid personality so she's not quite sure whether she should 'steal' the ball from people. But, towards the end of the game she was doing much better!!!

We are also horrible parents who are not use to being prepared at the games. We brought some water but there were no drinking fountains and the water ran out rather QUICKLY. Then I forgot to put her hair up in a pony tail but luckily we had a rubber band in the car. Then we forgot her own soccer ball! Luckily they don't need to bring their own. It was quite the experience and we realized that we completely forgot how to be PREPARED for sporting events ;)

LeVander Birthday Party

Last Saturday we went to Brayden (3) and Ryland's (1) birthday party. We had a GREAT time. They had cotton candy, a water slide, EXCELLENT food, dogs, drinks, and most of all FAMILY. We were there for 7 hours and the kids played in the water slide for the entire time! They had a complete blast. THANKS LeVander's for inviting us.

We took JC's deer and ground it up into hamburger. We went to WalMart and bought a meat grinder (which I highly recommend) and ground most of the meat up. I think we will eat more of it if it is ground into hamburger and maybe we could do half-and-half. Anyways, the kids absolutely loved doing it and that's what matters most, right?

Bryant Family Reunion

So today is my birthday. JC got me pedastools for my brand new front loading washer and dryer. I was so excited because I couldn't bear to spend the money for them for no reason. We also had a little celebration at the lake with our family, they sang 'Happy Birthday' and my mom got me a Boston Cream Cake, which was EXCELLENT. Anyways, the big TWO FOUR!!!

The last two weekends we have met my family down at Roosevelt Lake. We have had TONS of fun!!! I wasn't able to slolom ski due to female issues still but hopefully next time I will be back on track ;). JC kicked trash at wakeboarding and slolom. Simplifying Life

I have decided to simplify my life a little bit. SO....I decided to dye my hair as close to my roots as possible so that I won't have to dye it anymore. With having kids and getting older my hair has definitely grown in MUCH darker than it use to be. It's so crazy because when I look at pictures from HS before I ever dyed my hair, it is BLONDE. So, I am blaming it on my kids ;). Anyways, not the greatest picture but I am so sick of dying my hair and having regrowth...so I just did it. I actually really like it though. I don't think this picture does it justice, but who cares!!! As long as I know it's Beautiful. lol

Sorry so late. With the family down and the miscarriage, definitely got postponed. Anyways, we had an awesome 4th of July. My entire family came up to our house. Justin and JC were doing a tile job for Guidance Helicopters so they were already coming. The rest of the family decided to join us. We also invited the Hepworths over for some serious FUN!! We had a pinata for the kids with way too much candy. The adults played 'catch phrase' and 'nerts.' We went to the fireworks at Embry Riddle that were great. The kids loved the fireworks. Then came back to the house, the kids fell asleep in the car, and the adults had a blast. Stayed up until 1 and played cards. Oh, and JC and I won the last game of 'nerts' so we have bragging rights. I don't think anyone dares to play us again!!!

so, I kick myself for posting things a little too soon. But, just because I posted, I was going to let everyone know that I had a miscarriage. Don't know why or what happened?? But, we are doing great. I don't really feel super upset about it mostly because I already have 2 beautiful children and because it is my first one. I don't know why it happened on my 3rd child, but it did. It is definitely going to set us back and Gavin isn't getting any younger, so we will have a much bigger gap than expected, but we will be just fine! Anyways, if I would have just waited a couple more days to post that I was pregnant in the first place, then I wouldn't have to be doing this. But oh well. So, just so everyone knows, I am fine with this, everything is great, and hopefully things will go better the next go around. But, we are definitely not rushing things! ;)

Happy LATE Anniversary

Should have posted this sooner but we have been so flippin busy. JC and I celebrated our 5th anniversary on July 2. It's crazy to think that I have been married for FIVE years. Crazy how time flies. Our anniversary was really nice. We were able to go to the movies and eat at Chili's. And since JC works at Chili's and it was our anniversary, they gave us our meal for FREE. That was awesome and really thoughtful of them! Justin and Jill watched our kids for us so we could enjoy time alone, which is a rareity when you have kids!:). Anyways, life has been great, marriage has been great, and I can't wait to celebrate many more years with the one I love!

The Hard Work has Finally Paid OFF

So, today JC officially finished Helicopter school. He is no longer a student. He is a CFII pilot with all ratings! We are so flippin' excited. He has worked so dang hard and it has finally paid off! It's very surreal now that it is actually over! Anyways, JC is going to start working in August and will be making WAY more money than we have ever made in our entire lives! It might not be much but it will be like "millions" to us! Student salary doesn't cut it! YEAH, I am so excited.

Oh, and FYI, we are expecting our 3rd baby in Feb. AAAAHHHHHHHH. I don't think you can ever be ready for baby #3 but Gavin will be 3 years old, so it's definitely about time!

Piano Recital

On Thursday my students participated in their FIRST piano recital. It was a great success. One of my students has only been playing the piano for a few weeks. The girls did great and I was really glad to see how excited they were about playing the piano!! Anyways, it just made me feel good!

So this weekend I had so much fun. On Thursday I went to my cousin Stefani's graduation. Saw tons of friends and had a great time. Then on Friday I went to breakfast with my sister and some friends from High School. It is so fun to be with such great friends. When I am with them it feels like we have seen each other everyday! That's what great friends are for!!! Then after we went to breakfast I went to my BF from HS, Rachelle's baby shower. It was so fun to see her. She lives in Idaho now and we never get to talk or visit. So it was great , there is nothing like BEST friends!!!
Then after the baby shower I drove back to Pima and then me and my parents drove to my house. So basically I drove 5 1/2 hours. But it was good to be home and to RELAX a little! THANKs to my parents for letting me hang out and for watching my kids while I went to Rachelle's baby shower. They are such great grandparents!!!

MADISON IS 4

Madison turned the BIG 4 yesterday (5/13). I cannot believe it. She had a birthday party at our house and invited lots of friends to come and play. We decorated birthday hats, ate ice cream sundaes, and opened presents. The kids had a complete BLAST. Madison is getting so big and so independent. She is sooo smart and loves learning!

Preschool Graduation - Heritage Zoo

On Monday (5/12) Madison's preschool went to the Heritage Zoo in Prescott to celebrate. The kids had a blast. The favorite animals were the llama, bear, and jaguar. They also got to eat cake and play at the park in the zoo. Madison has had such a great time in Preschool this year and this zoo trip was definitely the icing on the cake!!!

JC and my bro Justin decided that they would take on the responsibility of re-roofing a house. They had to tear off the shingles and then completely re-roof. They thought that it would take approximately 5 days and they would get paid $2500 each. Sounds like a GREAt deal, right? Unfortunately we have been at my parents house for 11 days now and they are barely finishing up. JC put his last helicopter rating on hold to reroof this house and to make some $$$$ but it has turned into this disaster. The roof is so steep that the boyz cannot stand on it. So they decided to make a "shelf" that they stand on and that's why it has taken forever. They said that this one roof is probably the equivalent to doing 3 roofs. What a mess...but we are going to go home today and hopefully get back to our normal schedule. Anyways, just thought I would share!

Yesterday I went over to my friends house

who is now doing a canning class every month. We made strawberry freezer jam. It is so YUMMY and so EASY!!! I absolutely loved it. I thought I would be there all day but it just took a few minutes and we were done!!! Thanks Trista for sharing your recipe and your talents. It was great. I felt like a little domestic goddess, or at least I want to be one. So I am learning and trying very hard. I am going to make some with Jill and my Mom this weekend. That's how easy it is, I am even willing to do it twice in one week! For those interested on how to make it...here is the secret ingredients :)

4 cups fresh strawberries

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 package (1 5/8 oz) freezer jam pectin

cut up strawberries into extremely fine chunks and put in bowl. In a seperate bowl, stir the sugar and pectin together. Dump sugar and pectin into strawberry mixture and mix for 3 minutes. WAHLAH! You are done! Dump the freezer jam into 5 little 8 oz jars (the plastic ones with screw-on lids are GREAT). Let sit for 30 minutes then put into freezer or frig!! EASY STUFF.

Elder Bryant Update

This picture is at his graduation in May 2006. He left on his mission on September 6, 2006.

Just thought people might be interested to hear what Nephi is up to. He is on a mission right now in Sacramento, California. He will be coming home in September of this year. Since he has been gone there have been 2 grandbabies born so he is excited to come home and see how everyone has grown!!

He is the Zone Leader right now. They have a baptism scheduled for the 20th of April and is very excited. Since he has been on his mission he has gained 20 lbs. but the 20 lbs. were much needed. He was definitely a VERY skinny man. We are really proud of our little brother and his accomplishments. He is a great example to our family and friends!! WE LOVE U BRO, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Deets Wedding

On April 12 we went to David and Nina's wedding. We had a great time. It was probably by far the fanciest wedding I have ever been to! We got to see all of JC's family and had a complete blast. It was a "black-tie affair" wedding so we had to get all dressed up. It was really fun to get all dressed up. It's not every day you get to look fancy!!! Anyways, here are some pics. It was an adult only wedding so my mom and sister watched our kids til midnight. Oh, and I think my husband was the HOTTEST guy there :)

Disney on Ice: Finding Nemo

We had such a great time going to Disney on Ice. I thought it would be boring for adults and fun for kids but it was actually very entertaining. They followed the Finding Nemo story line exactly and it was GREAT. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity!! Madison absolutely loved it and stayed intrigued the entire time. Gavin liked the first 10 minutes and then wanted to leave. Leave it to Gavin to be a party pooper :).
